Food From The Heart

Palmyra Grace Church is pleased to offer a ministry called Food From The Heart. This ministry is designed to provide our church family with opportunities for fun, fellowship, and hands-on mission work via the preparation and distribution of meals to our friends, neighbors, and others in our community who are in need.
Any individual/family/group affiliated with Palmyra Grace  are  welcome to prepare food for FFH use and store it in the FFH freezer for distribution, after notifying someone on the FFTH Committee and reviewing some very basic food safety policies.
Anyone who is in need or knows of someone in need may take meals {and desserts, if available) from the FFTH freezer and deliver them. The Freezer is now located in Room 113, the Prayer Room.
We are also working on getting notecards to deliver along with the meals that contain a prayer of thanksgiving, our church website, information about how to request prayer, and open space to accommodate a personal note.

Community Service Ministry

Palmyra Grace Church is pleased to offer opportunities for adults with court-ordered community service requirements. Projects tend to fall into the categories of indoor/outdoor maintenance and cooking/baking.
Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate everyone. Those with past or present sex offenses or violent offenses will typically not be eligible. Some exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
Anyone interested in getting community service hours must apply, be approved, and be willing to sign a Participant Agreement. All hours must be scheduled in advance; there is a limited number of slots for each project. Use the contact information below to find out availability of work projects and get started.
Volunteers from Palmyra Grace are also needed to help supervise projects. If you are a member/regular attender and are interested, please use the contact information below to get involved.

Disability Ministry

FOREVER FRIENDS

Forever Friends provides individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, and their caregivers, an opportunity to worship together.
This program is intended to provide an additional support to our community, not to take you away from the church you are already attending. We desire to meet the worship needs of people with disabilities who have difficulty attending a typical worship service.
For example: Alex has ID/autism, loves music, but is nonverbal and at times makes loud youthful noise and flaps his arms. He doesn't sit well for long lessons. He needs a lot of visuals/video and hand-over-hand assistance for craft activity.
This group meets on a MONDAY nights at 6PM.
ALL  AGES &  ABILITIES  ARE  WELCOME  TO  THIS  INCLUSIVE  MINISTRY

Adoption Ministry

The adoption ministry is designed to support and help assist families in the adoption process in a variety of ways:
  • through education about adoption and the process
  • financial support links and assistance
  • spiritual support
  • practical and physical assistance once the families return home with their children
We feel that if the church supports families that are adopting as well as families that have already brought children home, the burden is shared.
We feel this is a healthy model for achieving successful adoptions, blending families, and raising children since many of the children often come from unique situations.

Sports

We want you to have opportunities to just have fun with other members of your Forever Family. There is great benefit to building relationships with other believers whether in church or on the field.

SOFTBALL
We have a fellowship of approximately ten churches playing slow-pitch softball. We play from mid-April to mid-July.  Please contact us a secretary@palmyragrace.org and we will connect you with the team organizer.
